Abstract:
This dissertation is part of the research line Education, Culture, Theories and
Pedagogical Processes of the Graduate Program in Education (stricto sensu) of the
Faculdade de Inhumas. The purpose of this study is to understand the concepts that
permeate the Life Project component in the public schools of the state of Goiás. For
this, we raise the following question-problem: How does the Common National
Curricular Base and the Curricular Document for the State of Goiás understand the
Life Project? From this question, others follow: Which concepts have been
considered by public educational agencies for the organization of the planned
curriculum of the Life Project? Which theories related to human formation underlie
the Life Project component in the Curricular Document for the State of Goiás - High
School? To what extent the contents of the Life Project contribute to the human
formation of the student? Thus, the general objective of this work was to understand
how the curricular component Life Project is configured in the curriculum of the state
public schools of Goiás. As specific objectives, we sought to: raise the theoretical
framework to which the expression Life Project is affiliated; analyze the prescribed
and planned curricula of the Life Project in the state education system and verify with
what purpose the life project contemplates the students' human development. The
research was conducted through bibliographic study and document analysis of the
Law 9394/96, the Common National Curricular Base and the Curricular Document for
the State of Goiás - High School Stage. Therefore, its nature is basic, of qualitative
nature, based on the dialectical method. For analysis, reflection, and finding possible
answers, we summoned some theorists, namely: Araújo, Arantes and Pinheiro
(2020), Bourdieu (2003), Damon (2009), Danza (2014), Dardot and Laval (2016a,
2016b), Libâneo and Freitas (2016, 2018), Lôbo (2020), Safatle (2021), Sandel
(2021), among others. The reflections allowed us to reinforce that the expression Life
Project has its origin in Willian Damon (2009). Another point highlighted is that both
the prescribed and the planned curriculum of Life Project analyzed present concepts
related to coaching, positive psychology, spirituality and human values, aiming to
build life projects with purposes directed to professions, satisfying neoliberal capitalist
interests rather than human development, which presupposes an ethical coexistence
between the subject and society.
